The feature pages of our ROOTS, ROUTES and ACTION sections are filled with information and ideas that can be used to support cultural heritage learning in the classroom and in the community.
We also publish original educational materials that help students and families better understand the land, explore their family and community history, and appreciate the natural and built environment. On our new RESOURCES page, you will find original lesson plans (new and archived) and a list of links to other Internet sites that can help you plan engaging and instructive cultural heritage programs.
Through ROOTS & ROUTES, we hope to foster community and family history connections and collaborations. Check our growing list of towns that are related in a variety of ways - and start a trans-regional research or writing project on the Internet!
You'll also find contributions from young writers and artists throughout our Internet site. We'll be glad to help you share the excellent classwork your students produce, by posting examples on ROOTS & ROUTES.
Thanks for bearing with us while we rearrange and annotate the content on these pages.
