ROOTS & ROUTES SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

ROOTS & ROUTES (www.rootsandroutes.net) is an Internet site providing information on heritage travel, family and public history, historic preservation, nature conservancy and related educational resources. It is maintained as a public service by Lois Cunniff Productions,Inc. and is supported in part by contributions from private foundations, corporations and individual sponsors. As part of our service, we locate and display high quality history related products, including art hand crafts, calligraphy, memorabilia, period dress, toys and venues. We also promote the services of innkeepers, restaurateurs, architects, genealogists, researchers and others, all of whom pay a sponsorship fee and receive a notice in our pages. All sponsorship contributions help cover our internship costs, allowing us to create and publish new content and promote the public programs of our non-profit heritage partners. Rates and benefits for the various sizes and styles of sponsorship and listings is described on the Rates and Benefits pages.

These rates may change from time to time. When listing contracts expire, they may be renewed at the discretion of both parties at whatever the rate may be that is listed on our Rates and Benefits pages at that time. All contracts are for a specified time period and are subject to approval by the sponsor. Contracts begin on the day the approved listing goes online. A renewal notice will be sent to the sponsor two weeks before the expiration of any listing, and if payment is not received on or before the date of contract expiration, the listing will automatically come down.

No orders or sales of merchandise or contracts for services are made directly by or through ROOTS & ROUTES/LC Productions, Inc. Although we solicit the sponsorship of known and reliable vendors and professionals, we do not guarantee their products or services, nor do we take any responsibility for fulfillment of orders placed directly with them or through their Internet sites.

Our sponsors agree to provide products and services as described on their own websites, in their product literature and on ROOTS & ROUTES. They alone are responsible for order fulfillment, payment and tax collection, shipping, handling and insurance, as well as all product and service-related customer help. In the event of returns, goods damaged in shipment, or payments cancelled or withheld by the customer, sponsors are responsible for working out an equitable arrangement according to their own usual policies and terms. ROOTS &ROUTES/ LC Productions,Inc. has no responsibility to the customer or sponsor for any costs or lost revenues. However, complaints regarding services or merchandise listed in our pages will be investigated by R&R/LCP,Inc. and if found by us to be valid and unresolved, will result in immediate termination of the listing and sponsorship agreement without a refund of fees.

Sponsors offering a special ROOTS & ROUTES discount receive an equivalent percentage off their total sponsorship listing fee. Sponsors making special offers agree to honor the coupon published in our pages by providing the discount described, if the printed coupon is presented at the time of payment. As a courtesy, we ask that purchasers notify the sponsor, when placing the order or reservation, that a ROOTS & ROUTES discount will be used, but unless their published coupon specifies that advance notice is required, sponsors must honor a printed coupon whenever it is presented with payment. In the event of a complaint regarding the failure of a sponsor to honor a discount coupon, ROOTS & ROUTES/LC Productions,Inc. will investigate and attempt to resolve the matter. However, ROOTS &ROUTES/LC Productions,Inc. is not responsible for any refund of the disputed discount charges. If we find the sponsor is at fault, and the sponsor fails to settle with the client, we reserve the right to remove all sponsorship listings without a refund of sponsorship fees.

All listings and gifts are accepted soley at the discretion of ROOTS & ROUTES/LC Productions, Inc. We reserve the right to refuse any listing for any reason whatsoever. We offer free links to our sponsors' home pages and sales pages as part of our service, but we will not knowingly publish links to pages that employ malware, spyware or adware, that feature obnoxious or obtrusive advertising for other unrelated goods or services that might annoy our readers or that place hidden pop-up ads on their computers. Should we publish a link to a sponsor's WWW page which is initially free of the annoyances listed above, but which subsequently adds them, we will remove the entire listing until the linked page is edited to conform to our guidelines. Reinstatement of the listing will incur the same production fees as other changes made after initial approval.
