On Sunday, June 22, 1997, New London Landmarks sponsored an exploration of the history of the Pequot Colony and its growth from a turn-of-the-century summer community to a year-round residential area.
The tour included an array of architecturally diverse homes: summer cottages affiliated with the Pequot Hotel; the mansion homes of some of New London's leading citizens; simple homes built as part of New London's development in the 1920s, 30s and 40s; and re-creations of older style homes.
