These two historic houses show the evolution of a colonial seafaring family. The older (1678) is among the best-documented 17th-century houses in America. The other is a rare example of an 18th-century stone house (1758) in New England.

The museum is open from May 15 to October 15, Thursday through Sunday from 12 to 4.
